Privacy Policy

Explanation of This Privacy Policy We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency. WhisperInput.ai does not sell your data. This policy applies to all products and services provided by WhisperInput.ai, including our Website, macOS app, account features, subscription features, voice input and dictation services, and support workflows.

1. What We Collect and Why

Account Information

When you sign in, we may collect your email address, account identifier, subscription status, and related billing metadata so we can provide account access and paid features.

Voice Input and Dictation Content

When you use WhisperInput, voice input may be processed to generate text. Dictated text, session metadata, and temporary processing data are used only to provide the dictation service, improve reliability, enforce quotas, and support troubleshooting.

Desktop App Diagnostics

The macOS app may collect limited diagnostic information such as app version, operating system version, permission status, shortcut events, error states, and feature usage. This helps us debug issues and improve product quality.

Desktop App Permissions and Safety Boundaries

WhisperInput is a macOS dictation app, not a keylogger or malware. The app uses Microphone permission only when you start dictation so it can process your voice input. The app uses Accessibility permission to identify the current input field, start or stop dictation through your configured shortcut, and insert the transcribed text into the app you are already using.

WhisperInput does not record keyboard input, does not read password fields, does not collect credentials, and does not access devices, networks, accounts, or systems without authorization. Shortcut monitoring is limited to detecting the configured dictation shortcut and is not used to capture what you type.

Website Interaction

We collect data about your browsing activities to improve our services and conduct analysis, including but not limited to:

  • Browser type and operating system
  • IP address
  • Pages visited and time spent
